Wyith sponsors the child sponsorship programme of the Salvation Army HK Command

Hongkong - April 12, 2000 - As the Internet
Consultant of The Salvation Army Hong Kong Command (SAHK) since 1997, Wyith has been
sponsoring many SAHK Internet-related events. In April, Wyith Incorporated is
sponsoring The Salvation Army Child Sponsorship Programme again over the Internet.
"As a matter of Wyith's long-time public responsibility, it is definitely our
pleasure in sponsoring the event again over the Internet." said Dr Raymond Cheng,
"We sponsored SAHK with Internet resources, like Internet bandwidth, servers for
live streaming Realvideo and Realaudio clips as well as web hosting, layout design
and continuous updating. We find this sponsorship work very meaningful
as we developed our business in the region."
The Salvation Army Hong Kong Command began its work in Mainland China in 1988.
With the support from Salvationists internationally and other supporters, SAHK are
dedicated to various poverty alleviation projects and emergency relief following a
number of natural disasters in China. As a part of SAHK's work, the Child Sponsorship
Programme provides financial assistance so that children from poor families do not lose
their opportunity and right for education. SAHK cooperate with related organizations in
Guangxi, Hunan and Shandong. There are plans for gradual expansion to other
provinces to help children from poor families to continue their schooling.
